Tesco improve customer data quality with Capture+ from PCA Predict

Tesco, the UK’s biggest retailer, selected PCA Predict’s smart international address validation technology, Capture+, to prevent inaccurate data from entering their customer database, and deliveries being dispatched to the wrong address.

Tesco has always been committed to providing the best shopping experience. Today it continues to focus on doing the right thing for its customers, colleagues and the communities it serves. The deployment of PCA Predict’s Capture+ in its website functionality plays an important part of that commitment.

“We wanted to use a service that provided daily updated addresses, including new build data, so our customers could find their address and register without hindrance whilst our existing customers could manage their address book smoothly.” 

We also use PCA Predict’s Store Finder service, to help our customers find their nearest Tesco branch for our click & collect delivery option. PCA Predict provides latitude/longitude coordinates which provides us with pinpoint accuracy.

Our previous address service was not kept up-to-date daily which led to some customers not being able to register their address and checkout online because their newly built property had not been updated in the service. We were receiving a lot of feedback from our customers who wanted to shop with us, but couldn’t find their address. We really value customer feedback, so we looked to fix this problem and after the switch to PCA Predict we don’t get anywhere near the same volume of feedback.

Capture+ was really easy to integrate on our website and I’ve been really pleased with the continual support we get from PCA Predict. I’ve been so impressed that I haven’t hesitated in recommending it across other parts of the business.
