Dreamforce 2012, the “cloud-computing event of the year”, is fast approaching and we can’t wait! San Francisco is preparing itself to be bombarded by an estimated 50,000 visitors eager to see what new features and functionality Marc Benioff and Co. are going to reveal this year.
The show is so popular that you’ll be lucky to find a hotel room in San Fran during that week – they’re even closing off parts of the city to accommodate. But how do you follow up last year’s concert headlined by the widely known and massively popular heavy metal band Metallica? With a concert by the widely known and massively popular indie band, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, of course!
Dreamforce X as it’s being called (it’s the 10th Dreamforce) promises to be the biggest and boldest yet, with some amazing speakers such as British Entrepreneur Richard Branson and ex US Secretary of State Colin Powel, as well as the always popular keynote by Benioff himself.
Postcode Anywhere will be exhibiting again (come and visit us at booth #140!) and this year we’re showing off our fantastic new Capture+ technology, which not only expands our country coverage to 240, but also makes searching for addresses as simple as searching on Google – just start typing an address and the results will filter down to a single address in a matter of keystrokes.
But before all that happens, the team will be exploring California! Whether we decide to go north to Yellowstone National Park and scale El Capitane, or go south and drive along the south coast to Santa Cruz, we’re sure to see some amazing sights and bring back some great memories.
And then the work will begin. We’ll work hard during the day on the expo floor, and then we’ll play hard during the evenings at the networking after parties. It’s certainly going to be an event to remember!
